White-faced Meadowhawk -  Sympetrum obtrusum 

A common dragonfly in Emerald Necklace.  Found the by water or in fields and woods perched on leafs and twigs hunting for other small insects.  For a humerous discussion on the many confusing identification subspecies of meadowhawks - "Meadowhawks will make you crazy" - check out the second link.
