Channeling Rachel Carson: A Nature Love Story for our Time

  • First Church in Jamaica Plain 6 Eliot Street Boston, MA, 02130 United States (map)

This empowering one-woman show shines light on the many ways we can find our way home to the wonder of the natural world. From the true North of Rachel Carson’s life work as a pioneer nature writer and ecologist who transformed the understanding of a generation, to the remote beauty of the Maine cottage where she wrote Silent Spring, this performance brings to life the Sense of Wonder Rachel wrote about so movingly at the end of her life. Oracle-award winning author and storyteller Diane Edgecomb skillfully weaves the haunting tale of her own journey of poignancy, joy, and light, summoning beloved childhood experiences and the hidden power of our love for the natural world bringing renewal to our advocacy for the nature we love.

Oracle-award winning storyteller Diane Edgecomb weaves a tale of poignancy and joy as she summons beloved childhood experiences and the hidden power of our love for the natural world to inspire our advocacy.
